The North Dakota Ukrainian Dance Association's (NDUDA) primary goal is to promote the art of Ukrainian Dance throughout the entire state of North Dakota. We further strive to promote Ukrainian Dance throughout the United States and beyond.
Our secondary goal is to promote and support our ethnic dance groups. The NDUDA believes that each culture has its own uniqueness that can be appreciated by people of all ethnic backgrounds.
A person does not need to be Ukrainian to appreciate the art that is Ukrainian Dance.
NDUDA strives to achieve its goal through its performance ensemble, the Ukrainian Dancers Stepovi, as well as the annual Ukrainian Summer Camp. This dance ensemble has traveled throughout the United States and Canada entertaining audiences with their vibrant, original and powerful performances. Like the ensemble, the Ukrainian Summer Camp has played an equal role in promoting Ukrainian dance. It has been the starting point and training ground for many dancers, young and old, many of whom have gone on to join the ensemble.
